What we collect, and why
We keep data collection to a minimum. There are two ways we might hold information about you:
Analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages and tools are popular — so we can improve it. This uses cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. It only runs if you accept analytics cookies in the banner; decline and it stays off. We don't use analytics for advertising and we don't sell your data.
Things you send us. When you use a form — asking for your tool results by email, signing up for funding alerts, asking a question, or requesting help — we collect what you enter (such as your email address and message). We use it only to respond to you and, if you opted in, to send occasional funding updates.
Lawful basis
For analytics, our basis is your consent. For responding to enquiries and sending updates you asked for, it is your consent and our legitimate interest in helping depot operators. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who processes your data
The site runs on Netlify, which hosts it and processes form submissions on our behalf. Analytics is provided by Google Analytics. These providers process data under their own terms and appropriate safeguards. We don't share your details with anyone else, and we never sell them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and sign-up details only as long as needed to help you or send the updates you asked for, and analytics data for a limited period in line with Google's settings. Ask us and we'll delete your details.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it, and you can unsubscribe from any updates at any time. To do any of these, email hello@depotcharging.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies
The only cookies we set are analytics cookies, and only if you accept them. You can change your mind by clearing your browser's site data for depotcharging.co.uk, which will bring the consent banner back.
